CONTEST: GET “CARTOONIZED”

Hi Trippers!

If you’ve been glancing at Facebook or other social media sites as of late, I’m sure you’ve come across numerous fun caricatures of runners. These great images are the handiwork of the artists at the cool website “ilovetorun.org.”

When I first started Tripping The Kenyans, I submitted my mug for a little “cartoonization” and I was thrilled by the results:

I also ordered a high quality print to hang on my wall.

I was framed (sorry, a pun was inevitable).

And not only do the caricatures look great posted on-line or hanging in a frame, you can also access I Love to Run’s popular “eBib” feature to create your own virtual bibs. Like so:

eBibs featuring... you!

eBibs featuring… you!

Well, the gang at I love to Run would like to give you the chance to get your very own caricature done for FREE (a $29 value).

So, here’s all you have to do. Post a fun “running” picture of yourself on the “Tripping The Kenyans” Facebook page (and please give us a “like” while you’re there) or in the comments section below wherever you see this article.

We’ll look at the photos, gather up the names and pick a winner at random. Easy enough?

Two runner ups will win a “Gone Running” sign to let people know when you’re going to be done pounding the pavement.

"Gone Running."

“Gone Running.”

Deadline for submitting your photos is 5:00pm PST on Thursday, May 1st. Winners will be notified by e-mail and announced on TTK on Friday, May 2nd.

And be sure to check out I Love to Run’s website and Facebook page. They’ve got really cool apparel for men, women and accessories.

  1. I’ve never seen one of those – they’re awesome!

    • I remember the first time I saw one and immediately asked that person how to get a caricature done. They are really cool. Thanks for commenting and reading. Run on!
