SUMMER SNIPPET #5: “THE CON IS ON”
“Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale’s vagina.” -Ron Burgandy
This snippet gets all geeky.
In early July I ran the Peachtree Road Race, one of my annual summer traditions.
Well, a week later I embarked on another annual summer tradition: ComicCon.
For those of you who don’t know what ComicCon is… what the hell planet do you live on?
Every July, over 130,000+ comic/film/TV/pop culture fanatics swarm to San Diego for five days of geek nirvana.
And I happily join them.

We wandered the expo floor, attended several panels, ran into friends/co-workers/celebs and hit numerous parties every night. Here’s some of the proof: Read the rest of this entry
IT’S ON LIKE COMIC-CON…
Hi Trippers,
When I hopped onto the train for San Diego ComicCon on Wednesday morning, I figured I’d be putting up a daily post talking in-depth about the con, the panels I saw, the parties at which I partied (and crashed) and the runs I managed to squeeze in during the downtime.
Best laid plans of mice and men… and all that jazz.
Let’s just say, things have been a whirlwind down here… or should I say a “Sharknado”?
I’ve pretty much been incommunicado with the outside world since I hit San Diego, so I figured I’d just share a few photos with you and let them sum up my trip so far.
Enjoy…
…and the craziness continues.
Have a great weekend and I’ll be in touch after I decompress back in LA.
To quote comic legend Stan Lee “Excelsior”… and Run on!
