“THAT’S A WRAP” ON 2014!

Hi everyone!

...auld lang syne anyone?

…auld lang syne anyone?

I hope you all had a fun-filled Christmas and that Santa gave you mounds of great presents (perhaps some cool running gear or a new GPS watch).

As 2014 draws to a close and Baby New Year prepares to make his grand entrance, we all naturally take a look back… at the good and the not-so-good. The resolutions kept and the ones that fell by the wayside.

But before I finish the final chapter and close the book on 2014 (and start a new one for 2015) I wanted to give a recount of my running year that was.

And it was a doozy.

Here are some of my running “highs” and “lows.” Read the rest of this entry

ODDITIES AND ENDS…

Hi Trippers,

Just a quick mishmash of things today:

THE “KEEPIN’ KOOL” CONTEST CONCLUDED

Mashing with the mish.

Mashing with the mish.

I hope you enjoyed the weeklong contest featuring Kool ‘n Fit.

If you haven’t already, be sure to visit the Kool ‘n Fit website: Click here

And FYI, the winner of Day 5 of the contest is: ANDY BORDERS

Congrats to all of the winners and I’ll be sending out the prizes in the next day or so (aka as soon as I get to the post office to slap some postage on ’em).

I set a few running goals for 2014 and so far, have managed to hit several of ’em:

  • I’ve PR’d in the marathon (4:58:16), half marathon (2:03:14) and 10K (56:56).
  • I ran 3 full marathons in less than 90 days to qualify for the Marathon Maniacs (#9416).
  • I’ve run a half or full marathon every month this year so far (with plans to continue this into 2015).
