*NOTE: Okay, it should be the “Mason-Dixon” line, but I wanted to see if you were paying attention. For the record, Donna Dixon is an actress who appeared in the sitcom “Bosom Buddies” with Tom Hanks and in the film “Doctor Detroit” where she met and later married comedian Dan Aykroyd.

  1. The only times I’ve ran a race north of the Mason-Dixon line there’s been at least a foot of snow on the ground and freezing temps. For that reason I prefer the South, but I’m sure races in the warmer months are great in the North!

    • The majority of my races are in So Cal (where it’s almost always nice). In fact I think the only “northern” race I’ve done so far is the Chicago Marathon, although I will be running the half in Madison, Wisconsin. It’s the middle of summer (Aug. 16) so I’m feeling pretty confident that it’ll be snow free. I do plan to do more though and I’d be curious to run a race in snow.
